On April 9th, 2010, Gulli Briem, a long standing international ambassador of 46664, and renowned international jazz drummer, visited the 46664 SA offices.

During his visit, Ambassador Briem had a tour of the Nelson Mandela Foundation offices in Johannesburg, at which the 46664 SA offices are located, and also the personal archive of Nelson Mandela.  He also visited the Apartheid Museum, and Constitution Hill, two heritage sites in Johannesburg, to better understand and engage in, the history of Nelson Mandela.

Gulli also managed to arrange a session with children in Johannesburg who added their vocal talents to a song which includes both Icelandic and South African children, underlining his commitment to South Africa and his home country.

In 2005, at the 46664 Artic concert in Norway, Gulli shared the stage with Peter Gabriel, Annie Lennox, Brian May, Robert Plant, Johnny Clegg and many great African artists along with Mr Mandela himself. The atmosphere of the 46664 concert had a very powerful impact and Gulli has since committed himself to further work with 46664 when called for.

Reflecting on the visit, Interim Head of 46664 SA, Ruth Rensburg noted: "We are always pleased to welcome our Ambassadors, and to locate them in the importance of our work, and that of our sister organisations.  46664 remains indebted to all of our Ambassadors for what they contribute to the organisation"
