Kim Engelbrecht hails from Belhar on the Cape Flats. Born in 1980, she got her first big break at age twelve, when she landed the lead role of Sara in an Italian production, Sarahsara.
Her career has seen her rise from an anchor presenter position on Craz-E and then she was a presenter on Take Five. After two years as a youth programme presenter, she ventured into acting where she became most famous for her portrayal of Lolly on local soap Isidingo.
