The Foundation for Development (FDC) in Mozambique

The FDC was founded in Mozambique by Graca Machel (wife of Nelson Mandela) to provide for the basic needs of vulnerable communities. Among these are communities devastated by HIV AIDS. The funds donated by 46664 are currently being used to set up a range of HIV AIDS support services in the areas of prevention, treatment and care in the Manica province; one of the high prevalence, but under-serviced areas of the country. The focus is on providing assistance to the many children orphaned or made vulnerable by HIV AIDS.
