HIV AIDS can be beaten if people around the globe join forces to do so. Just as the world united to defeat apartheid, it can and must unite again to raise awareness about the pandemic and take action to eradicate it. As Mr. Mandela said "We hold the future of this continent in our hands." The truth is that HIV AIDS can be both prevented and treated. All that is needed is the individual and collective commitment to do what needs to be done. Whoever you are, wherever you are, you can join with 46664 to make HIV AIDS history.

We achieve our objectives through outreach campaigns in Africa and beyond, as well as through the staging of multi-artist concerts and other fund-raising events Our campaign uses the universal connecting power of music, sport and celebrity to educate, empower and help those infected and affected by HIV AIDS. We do this by talking to the youth and the young adults of the world through our global network of ambassadors and celebrities.

It is continually imperative for us at 46664 to make an impact on a global scale in order to draw attention to the HIV AIDS issue; so far we have had success thanks to a worldwide audience of over 1 billion people either viewing or listening to our concerts on TV, radio and the internet.

We will continue to produce these unique concerts combining international, local and African artists joining together symbolically onstage to demonstrate their support for Mr. Mandela's 46664 campaign. We will also be staging significant sporting and other entertainment events worldwide. Nevertheless a major part of our effort now will involve promoting community outreach campaigns that will encourage people to participate in discussions, educational activities, volunteer work and prevention, care and treatment support programmes. To do this we often partner with governments, NGOs and the private sector.

At the moment proceeds from our fundraising events go towards supporting existing HIV AIDS projects in sub-Saharan Africa and through the Nelson Mandela Foundation's sister charities, but we will also be funding viable new projects in Africa. We are also encouraging people to mobilise and be heard by sharing stories, ideas and experiences through our global online community www.46664global.com

All proceeds from the 46664 concerts and campaigns go directly to the 46664 projects we support. So far, the money raised from concerts and affiliated campaigns has been used to finance the ongoing 46664 campaign and to directly fund the three major HIV AIDS projects in Africa that we support. The AWDF (African Womens Development Fund) who manage over 400 HIV AIDS projects across the sub-Saharan continent; the FDC in Mozambizue; and the Goelama project in South Africa. To date over 18 million Rand (fig in US$2 million has been committed to these three projects alone. Recognising there are no short term solutions to the epidemic, this is a long-term commitment.
